I’m Jan Lehmkuhl, Principal Developer for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, based in northern Germany.

I’ve been working with Dynamics NAV (formerly Navision) since 2012 and followed it all the way to Business Central. Along the way I trained apprentices and mentored developers, and explaining things clearly is still the part I enjoy most. This blog is where I do that.

Topics I’m likely to write about

• AL development and Business Central
• AL-Go, CI/CD and versioning
• Azure, Azure Functions and web services around Business Central
• Infrastructure and self-hosted LLMs

The code from the articles lives in bc-samples.

Certifications

• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer Associate (MB-820, expired May 2026 because I forgot to renew it)
• Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Business Central Functional Consultant Associate
• ForNAV Certified Professional
